Birmingham weekend

Friends

We had a great weekend with friends. We went to a Halloween party at the Englands Friday, and had a great time, of course. I left my camera there so look for pictures from that later this week. Here are a couple of pics from the camp Saturday night. The Pooles had us out to watch our beloved Bulldogs shame themselves.

Carter's First Birthday

My baby is 1!! It just doesn't seem possible. We had a great time with family and friends Saturday. Carter thoroughly enjoyed himself. Aside from the brief encounter with ants and stripping his clothes off in the middle of the party, discovering he had been bitten multiple times, and evacuating all the children from the yard, it was a perfect day. Don't worry, Cory and the gasoline resumed play in the yard! He had so much fun running around with all the kids. But most of all, he loved his cupcake. Some of you know we are going through some trouble with allergies, and until we know what's causing it, he can't have several food items, including eggs and milk (which happen to be a vital part of birthday cake). But I was determined he would have one to eat. I found a place where you can order nut,egg, and milk free bakery goods.(She was on Martha Stuart). http://www.divvies.com/ . Not bad for what they are. He obviously didn't know the difference because he DEVOURED the whole thing. It was so cute. He asked if we could become full time vegans, but mamma's not giving up those leather pumps for anyone!

Beach Trip

We had a wonderful trip to Orange Beach. Cory's family came the first part of the week and mine the second. Carter had a blast. Here a few out of the hundreds we took.

Well, Carter was initiated into the world of MSU this weekend. He had a blast at the tailgate and even made it through the first half of the game. Yes, for those of you who know my husband's history, it was a risk taking our precious baby into the game with the "coach." But for once, no one around us was offended! We may have to take Carter to every game!
